Become a Toy Tidy Tester...

We have some very exciting news here at Toy Tidy this weekend. On twitter we follow some really fabulous bloggers and we love reading about the lives of real Mum's and what they get up too.

Therefore we have decided to launch our 'Toy Tidy Testers.' Thats right we want some 'real' Mums to test out our exciting products and then let us know what they think!
In the first instance we are looking for three Mums to become 'Toy Tidy Testers.' They will each review an exciting product from our website and report back to us on how they got on. After all what Mum doesn't have a need for a tidy house and a way of organising the mountain loads of toys that children seem to accumulate?

We don't know every blog out there at the moment so we are asking for your help. If you would like to be a Toy Tidy Tester please leave a comment below detailing the below...

1. Why you would like to become a Toy Tidy Tester.
2. Your blog name.
3. The ages of your child or children.
4. Also please follow us on twitter and leave your twitter id below @toytidy and tweet 'I want to become a Toy Tidy Tester http://tinyurl.com/7ftn2jd'

That way we can get more of an idea of some of the wonderful Mums out there and choose our first round of Toy Tidy Testers. The closing date for applying to become a tester is Monday 13th February and we will be in touch after this time.

Good luck everyone and we look forward to finding some lovely new blogs to read.

The Toy Tidy Team x

  1. I'd love to be a Toy Tidy tester. My house currently resembles our very own toy shop and I'm desperate to find a way to store things away tidily!
Although I am a mum of 5, I have three main culprits for the abundance of toys - Kian 11, loves Lego and plastic toy soldiers. Isaac 3 is the main culprit. He loves Pirates, cars, dinosaurs and is just discovering Lego. Then there is Eliza who is 1. She has lots of hand me downs from Isaac but is now starting her own collection on Girly toys!
I am also about to start the journey as a childminder so need something to organise the toys much better

Our little family have just bought a lovely victorian terrace but we're struggling to figure out the best way to utilise Frankie's playroom! Toy Tidy will hopefully allow us to give an opinion on their range in order to help other families like us who struggle to find effective storage solutions!

  7. This so funny, I have just posted my 029/366 photo for today (http://boorootiggertoo.blogspot.com/2012/01/029366-toys-toys-toys.html) complaining about toys being everywhere. I then take a look at Google Reader and read that you are looking for toy tidy testers.

I'd love the opportunity as I have two children who are at different stages when it comes to toys, Roo has lots of little pieces that go with her toys and Tigger has blocks, cars and figures that all get jumbled together.

  8. Hi ! I'm Louise and my Twitter handle is @Bobbity666. My blog is called Bloggomy (http://www.bloggomy.blogspot.com) and I am a proud Mum to 4 gorgeous children aged 19, 12, 10 and 15 months.

I would love to be a Toy Tidy Tester because firstly with 4 children you can imagine the range of toys to be tidied and stored in our house - Eek! I love the fact the range is UK made and that is also covers children furniture - A true one stop shop by the looks of it. As a Toy Tidy Tester (if chosen) I would offer an honest review based on both my experience as a Mother, and as a consumer.

Just off to tweet my interest.. great opportunity, Louise (@Bobbity666)

  15. I would love to become a toy tidy tester, as our family moved to a bigger house in December and I thought it would mean that finally I would get some space back and would stop feeling that the house was being taken over by toys. However our friends and family had different ideas and decided that we just had more space that needed filling with toys that they bought our monsters at Christmas! I am slowly coming to the decision that we will have to move to an even bigger house, but there may just be an alternative... your funky colourful toy storage solutions! I would love to test these out and share my thoughts with my readers and my facebook and twitter communities!

  19. Hi, this is a fantastic opportunity I would love to become a toy tidy tester as we are in desperate need of some way to organise our play spaces. At the moment I'm writing a series of posts on our attempts soo far. We live in a typical small British house and don't have the wonderful play spaces that I see around the net instead we need to intergrate children and adult spaces together.

I have an almost 2 and a half year old boy J who is addicted to "Tidy up time" and plays it as a game and I also have a almost 1 year old girl T who has trebbled our toys since she was born.

  20. 3 things I wish I knew before I had a child:
    1. Sleeping through is classified by some as more than 5 hours sleep. These are the people who say most children sleep through by six months.
    2. For every time you wish life away, for when they are smiling/ laughing/ interacting more, you will wish to go back in time far more.
    3. You accumulate such a massive amount of stuff, for such a small person. They take over every corner of every room!

I would love to test this toy tidy to try and achieve one less 'a baby crash landed in the middle of the room' in my house.

  22. I would love to be a toy tester for you or rather my 3 year old daughter Addison (Little Roo) would love to be - she can't type that well on the computer yet!

    1. If there is a way to somehow organise the 300 pieeces of lego, random barbie dolls, annoying ZhuZhu hamsters in one place and find them all again the next day then quite frankly I need this in my home. Every other attempt to tidy toys in apparently sturdy apparatus has resulted in cracked boxes or boxes Roo cannot open herself.

  25. My house is slowly disappearing under the avalanche that is childrens toys. It doesn't seem to matter how tidy I keep the toys because my current storage solutions just don't cut it! Everytime we get new toys I panic over adding them to the current stash as I just know we will end up getting buried alive!!
My current solution is to prevent people buying more toys in the hope that this will stop things from getting worse! (Yes, you guessed it that plan is not going well at all!)

  27. I would love to be a Toy Tidy tester. I am a mum of 2 young children, a 4 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. With them being so young we keep a lot of toys downstairs and it can be a job to keep them all tidy. Also their bedrooms are accumulating many little toys that would love a tidy home.
I think you have an amazing choice and selection of storage ideas on your site and we would love the opportunity to test and review them for you. My children love to help tidy up and I think having suitable storage is important to encourage them to do that. When you just have a pile of toys in the corner, it is hard for little ones to understand tidying up.

  28. I'd like to become a toy tidy tester because my house is too frequently looking as though it has been burgled. My son *has* to unpack ALL of his toys to find that one he was looking for, which never seems to be at the top of course, and it's all i can do but sit quietly biting my lip and softly sobbing into my cup of tea, dreaming of times past when my home was clean and orderly.

That nobody has come a cropper and ended up n a&e with a slip trip or fall-over-a-toy-related injury is a miracle really, and if it's not a boy toy it's a dog toy, cluttering the floor and making my home a health and safety hazard.

  33. Hello
    What a great idea!
We would love to be Toy Tidy Testers.
With twin toddlers and baby 3 on the way we need to be organised and creative with our space. We use a lot of boxes including our gorgeous Trunkis at the moment but would love to try out different ideas for organising and storing toys. Esther and William are 18 months and LOVE the Trunki boxes they use them as ride ons, walkers, seats, tables and storage tubs. They have learned what is in each coloured box and often ask for a specific box out. We have a musical instrument box, a book box and a stacking/sorting box. I am writing a blog post about all of this to saythank you for our fab competition prize. We would love to work with you more.

  34. Hi, I would love to become a toy tidy tester. My twitter id is fitnfabpt. I blog about all sorts. So far it has mainly been Fitness & pregnancy related but my blog is not restricted to one subject. I also write for the NCT.
When we moved to our new house I was completely over excited about the children having a play room as our last house was tiny and there was no space for anything. However, now we have a play room, we have exactly the same problem. Just more toys in more space. Nightmare! I have been on a mission to find some kind of storage that looks fab, dose the job, and perhaps has the added bonus of making the kids want to tidy up to.....asking to much?? Perhaps a built in speaker that thretens the naughty spot?...

  35. Hi I'm Nicola and I blog at Charlie Monsters fun House
    www.monstersfunhouse.com

I am mummy to the messiest little monster in the world! You would be forgiven for thinking that I had an army of children living in my house when you see the carnage that my 18 month old can cause. Ever heard they saying 'it looks like a bombs gone off in here'? Well that's pretty apt for this household. Toys spill out from the overflowing toy box in the front room to the under-stairs cupboard, spare room and of course all over his bedroom on a daily basis and I spend my life following and tidying up after him- just call me chief toy tidier!
We are desperate to find some suitable storage as I'm not sure how many more times daddy can slip on a toy car or stickle brick before he throws them in the bin!!!

I have followed you on Twitter as @charliefunhouse for quite a while now

    Fingers crossed

  36. I currently have three children, a 12 yo, 8 yo, 2 yo and a baby due in March. My poor house is straining at the seams, and it can only get worse. I'd love to be a toy tidy tester - the system that could bring order out of this chaos would win my everlasting thanks, and that of my poor put upon other half!

Before the baby is born we need to shift bedrooms around and get stuff stored away but still accessible particularly for our toddler. Atm things are underfoot or cascading down on us - I've been decluttering for months but our lack of storage is letting me down.

My blog is Making it up at http://liveotherwise.co.uk/makingitup and there are posts on decluttering on there, some upbeat, some not quite so cheerful...

  40. With the arrival of baby number two last June we decided to take charge of our living room/toy shop before Christmas and had a major move around. We ripped out the breakfast bar from the kitchen and moved our dining table and chairs into this space, making our conservatory a lovely new playroom.
The only thing we are yet to sort is toy storage and are currently using old battered boxes which are bursting open unable to contain the toys inside.
